Handmade Crochet Scarf

This is soooo awesome!  LOL.  About two months ago, my good friend Rachelle sat me down one Sunday afternoon while we were over at their house and taught me how to crochet. I tried crocheting once before, but couldn’t even crochet a straight row (LOL). So I had just resigned myself to thinking I was not cut out for such a skill. Well, what a blessing for friends who are confident in the potential they see in you!

Rachelle taught me how to first do a granny square. Although it took me over an hour to get the gist of it and work with the needle, I finally took off doing it on my own. In fact, over the next month I was able to make a large throw blanket as a gift for my sister and her husband for their new home! (Pictures of the blanket coming soon! I forgot to take pictures of it before I gave it to her, so I’m waiting for my sister to take pictures. Duh?!?!?)

Well, I was so excited at my first crochet project that I decided to do another project. This time, I wanted to crochet a SCARF.  With the help of another dear friend, Amy, she taught me this easy scarf pattern.  Within a week, I was able to get it finished! So, ladies {drum roll, please!}….. introducing my newly finished scarf (finished it Friday night)! I love how it turned out — it’s sooo soft and warm!
