Cleanse & Food Log – {Day 4}

Yippeeee!  I’ve passed the half-way point in this cleanse!   :-)   Things are still going pretty good overall.  My energy level is still up and I am feeling lighter and cleaner internally.  Okay, now don’t think I’m being overly optimistic here, but I have to share something exciting….  As I got ready this morning, I noticed my stomach was a little thinner than normal.  Yahooo!   To be honest, it’s not anything all that significant, but I know my body well enough to notice even the smallest change.  :D  And that’s motivating!

I did have a challenge in traveling and trying to maintain a high raw diet today.  But I was able to plan ahead (something I don’t normally do) and brought my lunch and raw snacks with me.  I made it through without giving into the temptation of eating organic “junk” food!  Glory to God for giving me the strength!

FOOD LOG:
Nothing really exciting with the raw foods I ate today — a lot of leftovers and not much fresh fruit like I wanted.  Hope to make up for it tomorrow.  :)  I do LOVE the soup I made!

  • Morning:  3 cups leftover Green Mango Colada smoothie from yesterday
  • Snack:  nibble of Onion Bread and couple spoonfuls of Mango Cobbler from yesterday
  • Lunch:  green salad with Shiitake mushroom dressing (romaine lettuce, tomatoes, slivered almonds) and 1 cup mango cobbler
  • Dinner:  bowl of homemade Minestrone Soup (yum!!)  — zucchini, onion, garlic, tomatoes, celery, white beans, red beans, spinach, parsley, basil, sea salt, oregano, vegetable broth, quinoa pasta shells
  • Water: 4 cups

RECIPE:  I’ll post the recipe for the Minestrone Soup.  But it will have to wait as it is really late and I need to head to bed.  :)

Soli Deo Gloria!
