Acquiring and maintaining optimal health is dependent upon a LIFESTYLE change throughout one’s life, not just a change in “diet”. Much attention is given to nutritional and dietary matters because it is the area where people have gotten the farthest off track. However, for one to pursue a healthy LIFESTYLE, there must also be a focus on other non-dietary areas of our life that significantly impact our health.
Below is a list of 10 steps that can help you get started and remain on your journey towards better health.

| A BALANCED PLAN |
A plan for diet & health should be simple and balanced. Based on what we believe and our own
personal experience and research, we promote the following basic guidelines:
- A healthy diet should be comprised primarily of raw and living foods, with a minimum ratio of about 60% raw and 40% cooked. If fighting disease, the ratio of raw foods must be even higher.
- The ideal diet should be predominantly plant-based and supplemented with fresh whole grains and clean, whole, grass-fed, pesticide- and hormone-free (organic) animal products.
- Non-dietary factors such as pure air, exercise, water, reduction of stress, and relationship with God are vital factors in obtaining optimal health.
- Certain types of cooking are potentially harmful, especially fried foods, browned and burnt foods.
- The cooked food portion should not contain any toxic food substances.
3 Principles To Keep In Mind
From the book, What The Bible Has To Say About Healthy Living by Rex Russell, M.D.
Principle I – Eat the foods God created for you
Principle II – Don’t alter God’s design
Principle III – Don’t let any food or drink become your god
